Registration DDMA AI Hackathon is open

On May 12 and 13, the third edition of the DDMA AI Hackathon will take place in De Hallen Studios in Amsterdam. As of today, registrations are open! Organisations can register now.

During the AI Hackathon, business teams set up an innovative and smart concept in two days, with machine learning as an accelerator. The goal of the DDMA AI Hackathon is to improve the cooperation between business and data science teams. Many organizations don’t use the power of artificial intelligence (AI) optimally or not at all, partly because these two disciplines are unable to find each other. During the AI Hackathon, both parties learn to speak each other’s language and interests, while working together on a solution to an important problem within their own organisation. In the last edition, Landal Greenparcs emerged as the winner.

At the end of day two, the jury (members to be announced) will announce the winner. The jury takes into account aspects such as scalability, practical applicability, innovativeness, user-friendliness and the chance that the solution will actually be implemented. In addition, the jury looks at the added value for people and society and to what extent the solution meets legal privacy frameworks and ethical standards. New this year is that the jury will pay extra attention to sustainability by testing whether concepts contribute to preserving the earth and a good environment.

About the DDMA AI Hackathon

The DDMA AI Hackathon is an initiative of DDMA and the DDMA Committee Artificial Intelligence. The Commission believes that an ethical, responsible approach to AI can be of great benefit to organisations and customers. To achieve this, our AI Committee focuses on sharing knowledge and enters into discussions with policymakers and experts from the business community, with the aim of creating more support for the use of algorithms and machine learning.
